‘African Apocalypse’ (2020) screening

The Department of Film and Television (FTV) invite you to a screening and talks about ‘African Apocalypse’, a new film about Africa’s colonial past. The event is co-organised with Migration Mobilities Bristol, the Perivoli Africa Research Centre and Afrika Eye.
‘African Apocalypse’ is the story of a young man’s epic journey across Africa in search of a colonial killer. It is an urgent and timely non-fiction retelling of Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness.

- Amina Weira, filmmaker and featured guide of the film, who will speak from Niger via a video link
- Dr Samantha Iwowo, PhD Graduate of FTV, filmmaker, screenwriter, Seni
or Lecturer at Bournemouth University - Zoe Dongray, 3rd year FTV, co-chair FTV Decolonising the Curriculum
