MMB Drinks: ‘What Went Wrong With My Bid?!’

Join us to celebrate all the hard work that has gone into your failed grant applications! We know how much energy and labour are put into developing a bid and the feeling on reading the words ‘We regret to inform you…’. But we are also recycling fans, and there’s always the potential to take your ideas in new directions. At these drinks you can share the project you were hoping to research, exchange thoughts on what you could do next time and enjoy the company of others whose great ideas are still looking for funding!
Sam Lambshead from DREI will join us to say a few words (he too is a fan of glorious failures on the path to success!) and will be available to chat to you further.
Please also join us if you don’t need to celebrate a failure but are simply planning work on a new bid!
These drinks will be followed by a series of grant-writing peer support sessions run in small groups by MMB between May and July. If you aren’t able to make it to the drinks, do let us know if you are working on (or planning) a bid and would like to come along to one of these by filling in this short form or emailing us.
