MMB thinks beyond silos and offers creative spaces to engage with theory, policy and practice, cultivating a supportive, sustainable, and exciting research community.  By its nature the study of migration requires an international approach and necessitates international collaboration and partnership.

We support a network of over 225 UoB scholars working on topics related to migration and mobilities across all faculties. We want to capitalise on this diverse pool of expertise and lead international innovation in the field. By growing our strategic, international collaborations we make an important contribution to the University’s ambition to be within the top 50 Universities worldwide.

Aims and Objectives

Our principal aims are to: 1) promote UoB as a global thought leader in interdisciplinary migration and mobilities research and as an innovative, exciting place to work, collaborate and study and 2) deepen international collaborations through ambitious, interdisciplinary research projects and activities.
